Shipping & Returns Policy

1. Production Time

Every print is made to order. Please allow 3–7 working days for printing, drying, quality inspection and packing before dispatch. You will receive a dispatch confirmation email with tracking details once your order ships.

2. Packaging

Every print is supplied flat in a Hahnemühle Archive & Portfolio Box — an acid-free, age-resistant archival presentation box manufactured to DIN 6738, ISO 9706 and ISO 16245 standards, protecting the work from light, dust and atmospheric impact. Each print is interleaved with acid-free tissue.

For transit, the presentation box is enclosed in rigid protective outer packaging: reinforced book wraps for smaller formats and telescopic picture postal boxes for larger formats. Prints are never rolled or folded. The signed Certificate of Authenticity is enclosed with every print.

3. Shipping Destinations and Estimated Delivery Times

•       Ireland: 1–3 working days after dispatch

•       European Union: 3–7 working days after dispatch

•       United Kingdom: 3–7 working days after dispatch (plus any customs processing)

•       United States & Canada: 5–10 working days after dispatch (plus any customs processing)

•       Rest of world: 7–14 working days after dispatch (plus any customs processing)

All shipments are sent via tracked courier. Delivery times are estimates and may be affected by carrier delays or customs clearance.

4. Customs, Import Duties and Taxes (Orders Outside the EU)

Orders delivered within the EU are not subject to customs duties or import charges.

Orders shipped outside the EU (including the UK and USA) may be subject to import VAT, customs duties or carrier handling fees in the destination country. These charges are payable by the customer and are not included in our prices. Shipments are accompanied by a commercial invoice declaring the work as an original signed, numbered limited edition photographic print (CN code 4911 91 00). Import charges vary by destination and are determined by the customs authority of the receiving country. If a parcel is refused due to unpaid import charges, the refund will exclude original shipping costs and any return fees.

For certain destinations, customs authorities may require the recipient’s local tax identification number before a parcel can be released. Where this applies, we will contact you to request the necessary details.

5. Damaged or Defective Items

Please inspect your print on delivery. If it arrives damaged or defective, email contact@tomimiophotography.com within 48 hours with photographs of the packaging and the print. We will offer a replacement (subject to edition availability) or a full refund, and we will cover reasonable return costs for damaged or defective items. We ask you to contact us promptly so that we can deal with any claim with the carrier, but this does not affect your statutory rights.

6. Returns and Right of Withdrawal (EU Consumers)

EU consumers may withdraw from a purchase within 14 days of delivery without giving a reason. Notify us at contact@tomimiophotography.com within 14 days of receiving your order, then return the print within 14 days of your notice.

Conditions for returns:

•       The print must be unused, undamaged and in its original archival presentation box and protective packaging

•       The signed Certificate of Authenticity must be included

•       Return shipping cost and risk are borne by the customer (tracked, insured shipping recommended)

Refunds are processed within 14 days of our receipt of the returned print (or proof of return), to the original payment method. The refund includes the standard delivery cost originally paid.
