The Structure of Reality was made on the Irish coast, where the sea overwhelms the stone edges of a tidal pool and dark mountains dissolve into the distance. Shot in black and white using intentional camera movement, the image strips the landscape of its stability — what remains is a moment in which structure, both built and natural, begins to give way. The tidal pool, a human construction resisting the force of the sea, becomes a metaphor for order and decay coexisting within the same frame.
