Dublin Distilled — Bolands Mills

from €450.00

Archival pigment print on Hahnemühle Fine Art Baryta 325 · A3+ / A2 · Gold Edition, 5 + 5 prints

Each print is made to order. Please allow 3–5 working days for production before shipping.

Dublin Distilled: Bolands Mills was made at Grand Canal Dock using a long exposure, the extended shutter compressing time until the water beneath the old mill becomes a mirror, still and reflective against a restless sky. The image was made in black and white to return both buildings to the same visual register — history and the contemporary stripped of the colour that usually separates them. What remains is structure, weight, and the particular silence of a city after its noise has been absorbed.

This work is part of Dublin Distilled: Moments Between Moments, a series exploring Dublin's architecture and waterways through long exposure and monochromatic palettes.
This photograph received six Honourable Mentions in international photography competitions in 2025
